The TruKool Oh My Eyes My Eyes Phoebe Framed T-shirt! The Rams Scout Apprenticeship program first started in March 2020. The Rams selected ten people of color, including two women. This series will cover each of the ten apprentices. This week, meet Mechelle Geeter, former Head of On-campus Recruitment at the University of Maryland Football Team. And now that I have a chance to get to know her, I would like to add, "Solve problems like Mechelle". Problem-solving is a skill we value highly. However, the thing about being a problem solver means you're going to have a problem. But for Geeter, as she explains the ups and downs of being a black woman working her way into the NFL, you won't doubt her abilities. It was just opening. Once it opened, I got it, Geeter said. That's not easy for Geeter. Like many people during the pandemic, she lost her job this year. "Covid messed up that," she said.
My position has been terminated. I am a bit sad, but I will continue to move forward, which is what I am doing." Geeter is the On-campus Recruitment Manager for the University of Maryland Football Team, a position she is proud of. But even before losing his job, Geeter was able to find the positive aspects of staying at home during a pandemic and The TruKool Oh My Eyes Phoebe Framed T-shirt! I was able to take part in attack meetings [and] defense meetings and talk to some coaches about what this player needs? Or what does this player look like? Or are you looking for? What are you looking for in this particular position? That's a good thing, she said, because she really wanted to learn: I have a lot of questions and I'm not afraid to ask.
