She graduated from New Lexington High School in 1957, then attended the Dayton Academy of the Arts. She and Al Jordan were married in 1961, and while Al worked to become the assistant city manager of Kettering, Ohio, June worked in the graphic arts sector in and around Dayton. She and Al have shared nearly 60 years of marriage and have two children, a daughter, Tracy, and a son, David, both currently living in Atlanta.
