And for the body, don't think too much: Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion SPF 30 feels great, smells great, and works great. I love the smell, feel and effect of Shiseido's 50+ SPF sunscreen, it goes on clear and stays on throughout a surf session. I usually only use it on my face, but after forgetting the other formulas during a recent trip to Mexico, I ended up using it all over my body. And for those who want their sunscreen to complete a tropical photoshoot, the brand's collaboration with Tory Burch - adorned with lovely flowers - is a must-buy.
Sunscreen is one of the most important parts of my skincare routine. However, it's been hard to find a formula that doesn't leave a white and mushy film on my brown skin. Plus, I love how it gives my skin a dewy glow. There are currently three sunscreens that I alternately use. Elta MD's UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 is the product I tried. I have dry skin and their formula is the last step in my morning routine that leaves me feeling moisturized and hydrated. Thanks to the niacinamide in the formula, it feels like I'm treating my skin while also protecting it. The second is Supergoop! The glow stick that I always keep in my bag. It's easy to slip into a purse without worrying about potential clutter, and the easy-to-grasp formula leaves me wanting more swipes across my face and hands throughout the day.
