Kerby Jean Raymond's choice of venue for his first Pyer Moss couture show is as historic as it is iconic and The Lexxifoxx Super Fans T-shirt! The designer - whose show on Thursday was postponed by a storm and rescheduled for Saturday - decided to choose Villa Lewaro in Irvington, New York, the estate of America's first self-made female millionaire, Madam CJ Walker. Villa Lewaro was commissioned by A'Lelia Walker, daughter of Madam C.J. Walker, and designed by Vertner Woodson Tandy, the first black architect registered in New York. Its location is about a mile from other notable properties of the American billionaire such as the Rockefeller Estate in Kykuit and the Lyndhurst mansion.
