This is evident when scrolling through Mimi Choi's TikTok, where the Vancouver-based expert showcases her surreal, 3D makeup looks that always make you do it twice. On her TikTok page, Choi often uses her own face as a base for makeup. I'm drawn to this style because I have complete freedom to create and express myself in ways that I can't put into words,” Choi told Vogue. I feel there is so much potential with this art form, and my imagination is my only limit. Since posting her first TikTok in January, Choi has gained more than 880,000 followers. Each work has a special meaning to me, so it is difficult to choose. These looks represent an evolution in my style where I started incorporating handcrafted props into my looks. The whole process is so organic and spontaneous as we don't even have time to try it out!
