It is the focal point of Mohammed's one-of-a-kind haute couture, titled "Fights, Flights and Fantasies". After the show, he said he was inspired by escapism, but not in the way other designers talk about tropical vacations or spending time in nature. Mohammed and his team are thinking about escaping America's atrocities in 2021: The feathers refer to flying to another place far away, where Blacks really are treated fairly. “That said, believing there is somewhere better is one thing, but you also have to take your place,” added Mohammed. He and his small team did it through craft, learning new skills like macramé and champlevé to create these pieces from scratch.
