Simone usually has a lot of makeup and accessories in her shows but this one is more flattering, so we discussed the idea of makeup that really becomes an accessory.” 
In fact, most of de Kluyver's sequins and rhinestones used on the face and body are similar to the jewelry and garments in the collection. To focus on sparkle, de Kluyver wanted to keep skin fairly clean and fresh; A little moisturizer was used along with the foundation and concealer. Meanwhile, nail artist Ama Quashie repeated this idea of the lake with wet nails. “To personify the transparency of water, we used a transparent press to add length to the nails and fingers,” says Quashia. “On the nail itself, we created the water effect using rubber gel to sculpt the water droplets.” To further enhance the sense of light, Quashie layered the models with the hands of Dr. Barbara Sturm's Glow Drops.
