Wearing a richly embroidered dark purple coat, she dated a friend by phone from the yellow cab that was taking her to Jacobs' studio. That interview with the late McQueen encompasses both her perseverance and her quirky interviewing skills. She met him at New York Fashion. Week in the early 2000s, when she ran up to him and bluntly asked where he was. The next day, she spent the morning phoning McQueen at his hotel to tell him where he was. until he woke up and catches may.
