New York Yankees Ho Ho Ho Christmas Shirt! Oleema Miller doesn't remember the first time she met Bryan Phillips. However, Bryan still remembers it perfectly. In 2002, the then 16-year-old was working as a lifeguard on Oahu's North Shore when he spotted a girl surfing Pupukea, a break right next to the Banzai Pipeline. He was beyond impressed: Pipeline has some of the most notoriously difficult waves in Hawaii, but Oleema, who looked several years younger than him, bested almost everyone around her. Little did Bryan know that she had been a teenage surfer with Roxy and visited the North Shore every winter with her father for brand photo shoots. It took Oleema several years to notice Bryan. Gradually she begins to wonder about this “really handsome guy” who always seems to be a few feet away from her. Turns out that was Bryan's plan: “He admitted over the years we dated that he would see me from the lifeguard tower and would nonchalantly paddle out to make it seem random,” she said and laughed. In December 2015, Oleema worked up the courage to start a conversation. As fate would have it, on that day, Bryan also mustered up his courage: "He immediately understood what I had just said and said.
